Dynamic Health Staff Contributes to Singapore's Growing Nursing Workforce

December 10, 2025 – Singapore — Dynamic Health Staff, a leading global recruitment agency for healthcare professionals, played an important role in building up the nursing workforce in Singapore.

According to the Singapore Nursing Board’s 2024 Annual Report, there were over 50,000 registered nurses in Singapore last year alone (2024), up from around 44,000 registered nurses in 2023, with nearly 6,500 of those registered nurses being added during that one year alone and over 180% growth in Registered Nurses trained outside of Singapore growing as the demand for chiropractic care continues to rise.

Mr. Arun Kumar Ojha, Director of Dynamic Health Staff, in an interview with Zaobao news, Singapore, stated, Dynamic Health Staff remains deeply committed to addressing the global nursing shortage by consistently supplying highly qualified and internationally trained registered nurses to healthcare facilities across Singapore. As the demand for skilled nursing professionals continues to rise, we take pride in supporting Singapore’s healthcare system by bridging critical workforce gaps with nurses who meet the highest professional and regulatory standards.

He further added, ”Our robust recruitment, training, and compliance processes ensure that every nurse we deploy is well-prepared to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. By partnering closely with hospitals and healthcare institutions, we aim not only to meet immediate staffing needs but also to contribute to the long-term sustainability and excellence of healthcare services throughout Singapore.

Overcoming Language Barriers and Cultural Integration

Foreign-trained nurses are faced with a number of challenges when adapting to foreign countries as foreign nurses; one major challenge for foreign-trained nurses is the language barrier. "I've learnt Mandarin, Malay, and some of the local dialects that I don't speak fluently," said Sangeetha Karthikeyan.  Karthikeyan stated that's why it feels good to her when her patients respond to her in Tamil and call her "thangachi" or younger sister. Pancharvarnam Porkodi has formed a similar strong bond with her patients in Singapore over the decade by being referred to as "missy," which is a term of endearment in Tamil.

The experience of both Karthikeyan and Porkodi highlights the value of Dynamic Health Staff in not only recruiting qualified medical professionals but also providing education and support to foreign-trained medical professionals to culturally and linguistically assimilate into the communities they will be serving. Dynamic Health Staff provides language support for the purpose of allowing nurses to deliver exceptional, compassionate care to their patients.

International Collaboration in Nursing

Along with being involved with recruiting, Dynamic Health Staff is also a participant in global partnerships. In February 2025, the Singapore Ministry of Health and the government of Assam (India) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding improvements to nursing training and skill development. The goal of this collaboration is to better align the current nursing curricula in India with the current nursing curriculum requirements in Singapore so that nurses who are trained in India will be adequately prepared for both the clinical and cultural expectations of Singapore's healthcare system.

On this, Mr. Arun Kumar Ojha, Director of Dynamic Health Staff, said, "This partnership will assist nurses to more easily move into the workforce of Singapore and successfully adapt to their new positions while providing support for the local health care system."

Dynamic Health Staff: Committed to Strengthening Singapore’s Healthcare Workforce

As healthcare demands increase in Singapore, Dynamic Health Staff is fully committed to supporting the country’s healthcare workforce with qualified and culturally aware caregivers.
