7 Seven Step Plan Seven Step Plan for Successful International Recruitment
Pre-Arrival - Prior to Departure
During this process, we contact the candidate in person or via phone or video call and discuss the process in detail, depending on their knowledge about living and working in Greece. Topics discussed are below:
- Time Zone and time difference.
- Location of airports and the location of employment.
- A simple guide for an individual living in Greece, like banks, public holidays, etc.
- Possible accommodation options and approximate costs - Shared or single, furnished or unfurnished, etc.
- Typical rental agreements for accommodation and candidates’ responsibilities.
- How to set up a bank account if required.
- We provide information on the costs of gas, electricity, water, broadband / Wi-Fi, council tax, etc., and we also set them up if required.
- Mobile phone setup for temporary and permanent usage in Greece.
Post Arrival
One will have initially located accommodation as agreed with the candidate pre-arrival for one week. The candidate could extend this if they wish so until other alternatives are finalized. We provide post-arrival assistance to all the candidates to make sure they settle in the new country and new job smoothly:
- The on-border team will contact us to ensure a safe arrival.
- Ensure the candidate has a Helpline contact number should assistance be required.
- Written directions and transport options to and from accommodation to the candidate’s place of work.
- Provide options for potential longer-term accommodation, including contact details of agents.
- Weekly follow-up calls for the first four weeks to ensure smooth settling-in.
- A written feedback questionnaire is completed by the candidate after one month.
