Construction Begins on Saudi Arabia’s 170-Kilometer Megacity

Two buildings that span a vast expanse of desert and mountainous terrain will be part of a futuristic megacity in Saudi Arabia.

In Saudi Arabia’s northwest Tabuk area, work has started on “The Line,” a megacity project. When NEOM was first unveiled in 2017, futuristic ideas such as flying taxis and robot maids continually drew criticism, despite the doubts of economists and architects about their viability.”

Since the drone film has partially been recorded, the vast site and the construction video has been made public. In the midst of a desert, multiple trucks and machinery are seen in action.

According to a news story, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman revealed the Line’s blueprint will be run by renewable energy sources, including solar, wind, and hydrogen. This

will make it the first city in the world to do so.

In order to coexist with nature, residents of The Line will live in networked civilizations managed by artificial intelligence. Workability, sustainable energy, and technology will be given top priority in this future development, which aims to establish a new way of life.

The project known as NEOM, which is the brainchild of Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia and crown prince, intends to construct twin buildings that will span dozens of miles in a horizontal orientation and measure roughly 500 meters (1,640 feet) high. 500 meters above sea level, 170 miles long, and only 200 meters broad is the city, according to the NEOM website.

“Cars, roads, or emissions will all be absent. 95% of the area will be left undeveloped for natural purposes, and it will run entirely on renewable energy. Unlike traditional cities, people’s health and welfare will come first, according to the official website, and we could not agree more.

In conclusion, the construction of Saudi Arabia’s 170-kilometer megacity is a massive undertaking that promises to transform the region’s economy and set new standards in urban development and infrastructure.

With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and modern engineering, the megacity is poised to become a global destination for business, tourism, and investment. As the project moves forward, the demand for skilled professionals in various fields will surge, creating new employment opportunities and reshaping the job market.
