5 Innovative Strategies for Hiring & Redeploying Talent

HR professionals need to concentrate on assuming talent mobility and allowing the adoption of new technology. At the same time, they handle training tiredness and retention concerns, as economic uncertainty results in a constantly changing work environment.

The latest study from CompTIA, a nonprofit association, reveals that human resource professionals are investigating novel strategies and utilizing cutting-edge technologies to enhance talent development and retention as they navigate the challenges of an uncertain economy and an evolving work environment.

71% of HR professionals anticipate their businesses will continue hiring at their present rate to support growth initiatives in the year’s first half. According to the annual “Workforce and Learning Trends” survey from CompTIA, layoffs will continue to be a reality, and 23% of respondents expect skill shortages to be a factor in layoff decisions.

According to CompTIA, five significant innovations are now affecting how organizations seek out fresh talent and think about how to deploy their current workforce.

  • Talent mobility strategies expand in scope and significance.
  • For careers to be future-proof, T-shaped skills models are still essential.
  • Platforms and algorithms have a bigger impact on how people develop their skills.
  • Environmental, equity, social, and governance (ESG) and diversity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) momentum are new organizational goals.
  • The flexibility of the workforce is expanded by talent marketplaces rapidly.

Survey reports either a formal or informal talent mobility program within their organization, according to 75% of survey participants. Those respondents stated that their employer intends to expand the program’s focus on talent mobility.

Programs for learning and growth that are designed to retrain and upskill workers will be crucial.

For most businesses, keeping an eye on long-term capabilities is essential.

The survey found that 84% of HR professionals use a T-shaped skills model to help with talent management in some way. A worker with a T-shaped model represents a breadth of cross-discipline competencies and a great depth of expertise in a given topic.

At a time when flexibility is so crucial, having a worker with T-shaped talents, which include both hard technical skills and broader soft skills, is essential. This potent combination can help future-proof an organization and increase its competitiveness.

Since new HR technology innovations are always being introduced to the market, most businesses report a mix of system upgrades and new implementations.

Although it is still in its infancy, most HR professionals know AI (artificial intelligence). Unsurprisingly, most respondents, with a net of 52%, had an undetermined or neutral opinion of AI’s effect on HR.
