Job Description:
The Maintenance Planner ensures that all equipment in industrial and manufacturing settings is running properly within the JIGPC facilities. He essentially creates maintenance schedules, maintain parts inventory and work closely with maintenance staff, contractors and outside vendors
Knowledge & Qualification:
1. 2-Year Trade or Technical Course or Bachelor degree of Engineering field preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrument Engineering or any equivalent technical degree in the related field.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Ensure the day to day maintenance schedule of the facility is completed according to the appropriate JIGPC systems and procedures, maximizing facility reliability, while insuring compliance with the JIGPC maintenance program and the plant maintenance budget
• Assist in the preventative and corrective maintenance program for the site, coordinating with the Technical, Operations, and Maintenance teams, insuring compliance is achieved
• Generate Work Orders and Create Schedules to maintain reliability of all facilities.
• Keep a schedule of required maintenance and completed work and maintain records of the work history of each piece of equipment and work with planning supervisor and other personnel to schedule regular maintenance on all machines.
• Research all types of machines and understand the various tools that are specific to each machine to perform maintenance tasks.
• Place order and keep an inventory of tools, supplies and parts needed for various types of equipment.
• Conduct product training for all personnel who conduct maintenance on industrial machines and develop manuals covering training, maintenance and reporting procedures.
• Schedule routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance throughout our facilities, using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) as applicable.
• Schedule maintenance activities across multiple facilities, using CMMS or whichever is applicable
• Develop and implement new maintenance processes throughout various departments
• Use data to predict maintenance needs
• Organize spare parts inventories to prepare for emergency or preventative maintenance needs
• Foster a culture of safety awareness through correct maintenance processes
• Ensure the safety of all maintenance personnel by utilizing the JIGPC basic safety standard procedures, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. The position is a key member in building safety culture in JIGPC
• Comply with JIGPC and local safety, health, and environment standards, to fulfil the mandatory safety requirement and activities
