Job Description:
- To work as Welding QC Inspector.
Knowledge & Qualification:
- Typically a degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, welding engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in welding processes, materials, and industry standards (e.g., AWS, ASME) to ensure weld quality and compliance.
- Skilled in conducting visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and reviewing welding procedures and qualifications.
- Able to interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and technical specifications for accurate inspection and reporting.
- Typically requires certifications like CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or equivalent, with experience in weld inspections and quality control..
Role & Responsibilities:
- Destructive testing (NDT) of welds to ensure they meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Review and verify welding procedures, ensure adherence to welding codes (such as ASME, API), and confirm that welders are qualified.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, prepare comprehensive reports, and document any non-conformities or issues found during inspections.
- Identify welding defects, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with the team to resolve quality-related issues and ensure high standards.
