The Current Wave of Great Resignation has made IT recruiting a challenging task

Nearly three-quarters of top IT leaders claim that finding qualified candidates has never been more challenging as the Great Resignation continues to impact hiring.

According to research released this month, finding high-caliber IT personnel has never been more difficult for three out of four IT organizations.

According to MuleSoft, issues with IT talent recruiting are increasingly significantly affecting decisions about technology investment.

According to the 2022 IT Leaders Pulse Report, nearly three-quarters of senior IT leaders (73%) believe that finding IT talent has never been more challenging. Almost all respondents (98%) also said that finding IT talent has an impact on their organization’s technology investment decisions.

Employers need to be more creative if they desire to draw in the best candidates now that the Great Resignation has produced a vibrant labor market with a variety of opportunities.

Human-centered design and the use of technology to fill vacant positions

The study demonstrates how IT executives are utilizing technology to give their staff and consumers experiences that are more focused on people. The majority of senior IT leaders now agree that the experience an organization provides to its employees and customers is just as important as its goods and services. Four out of five respondents concur that improved employee and customer-facing technologies are essential for their organization to compete.

Almost nine out of 10 senior IT leaders concur that it is crucial to invest in people.

Therefore, during the next 12 months, the majority of respondents intend to invest more in enhancing IT employees’ wellness and upskilling instead of increasing IT headcount.

According to the report, there are skill gaps in IT due to the “Great Resignation.” The majority of the Senior IT leaders report that the “Great Resignation” has left holes in their organization’s IT functions, particularly in IT and solutions architecture, cloud and infrastructure management. These gaps have further exacerbated the skills shortage.

Analytics is a crucial tool for combating the Great Resignation

Employers may overcome difficulties with onboarding new team members by using predictive analytics.
